Artists' Statement:This is a political poster done as a part of the "56×56" exhibition, in which 56 designers designed 56 posters as a visual response to the 56th anniversary of Israel. We used the format of the classic ‘Artik’ ice-pops commercials from the 50′s, but manipulated the logo by taking off the ‘t’, thereby leaving it as ‘Arik’, the nick name of prime minister Ariel Sharon. In the background of the girl is the separation wall – the famous ice-pop that we’re all fed and pretend to like.
