M [the election letter designation for the party] red on white
(white text on red): A shield for the homeland/motherland
(white text on black at bottom): Mapam settlements are fortresses of strength for the country's borders
This is an election poster for Mapam (the United Labor Party—to the left of Mapai, and associated strongly with Kibbutz Artsi, and thus to Ha-shomer Ha-tsa'ir, not to be confused with the older defense group, Ha-shomer)
The map shows Mapam settlements—basically kibbutzim of the Kibbutz Artsi movement—that were established or were already standing around the 1948 borders, plus the older ones in the country. EZ
