During the 1990s, the Groupe Union Défense brought together different sensitivities of opposition and ideal membership: European regionalism, celebration of anti-imperialist guerrillas, anti-Americanism, anti-Zionism (clashes against Jewish far-right groups such as the LDJ and the Betar), neopaganism. Subsequently, the early 2000s will be marked by an unexpected rise of traditionalist Catholic elements such as the Frankish Guard.
