Rochelle Davis 11:23 AM (22 minutes ago) to me Sorry, I have times with more time for internet and less in others. Looking back through my notes ... 1) what is Hussein's nationality? Lebanese. According to Emile, "studied at AUB and graduate of fine arts. After working with Emile and Hosni, then traveled to Los Angeles and works there in computer field". 2) WHERE are his posters? Ya'ni the ones you moved out of Emile's SpC? Where did you park them? I just put them as Research in Progress. They are: Tall Zaatar Restera This one: http://www.palestineposterproject.org/poster/against-imperialism-and-zio... AND as I sent in another email (and I think there is a note in the admin notes at the bottom of this), the guy bottom right is not Mustafa Barzani (Kurdistan). He is Tannios Shahin. If you need that again, let me know. And this one: The Salt of the Land 3) r u sending me some of Emile's works via Dropbox? I've got to follow up with him to send them. He said he would. 4) When are you and Amb. Nick coming to Maine? Not sure. Got to get back home first.
Rochelle Davis 6:10 PM (19 hours ago) to ND, me Yes: His number 202-615-1035 And Dan -- guess what? I went to the AUB library, had a little love fest with the fantastic librarian Kaoukab who loves you, I saw some of the Jaffet library poster collection (WOW), and spent about 1/2 hour with librarian Samar. Possibilities galore... Kaoukab is really so fantastic. And if that weren't enough for one day, I sat next to Fawwaz Traboulsi at dinner from whom I gleaned 2 bits of information ... Emile Menhem's phone number (!) And for good measure I found out that the missing man on this poster (NOT Mustafa Barzani) http://www.palestineposterproject.org/poster/against-imperialism-and-zio... is Tanios Chahine who was a leader of a peasant revolt in Lebanon around 1860 ... Greetings from your diplomat in Beirut.
Begin forwarded message: From: Suleiman Mansour Date: January 7, 2011 6:19:07 AM EST To: Dan Walsh Subject: Re: ya akhi Sliman...do you know the fanan who did this work? dan Still I don't think it is Ataturk.Ataturk was supported by Zionism and the imperialism and the way he built his army which became later an important Nato member.I don't see any person with a little bit of common sense would put Ataturk with Che and Lumuba.Look for photos of Barazan the father of the present head of the Kurdish entity in Iraq or Talban the father of the present Iraqi president.
