From the Bernard Museum of Judaica - Justify Your Existence exhibit catalog: Dov Ber Borochov (1881–1917), the namesake of the Borochov youth movement, espoused an ideology that was both Marxist and Zionist. He was one of the founders of Poalei Zion, the Labor Zionist movement. Unlike many other Zionists, who embraced Hebrew as the language of the nascent movement, Borochov and many of his followers preferred the use of Yiddish on ideological grounds Yiddish translation: Borochov Youth calls upon you To the struggle for nationalist and socialist freedom in the Land of Israel!
