The Jewish National fund poster appears to be from the late 40's or early 50's, but from the map shown almost certainly after the War of Independence. A large tree is cleverly configured to fit into the Israeli border with the West Bank. The lower two-thirds of the poster is devoted to an agricultural village and its fields. This ad is meant to stimulate funds for the JNF reforestation projects with the quote from Isaiah, for the days of a tree are the days of my people - the intention of the quote reinforced by the very large tree that dominates the image. The poster, which is backed onto acid-free linen, has a slight time stain but otherwise in excellent condition.
