Description: Orell Fussli Verlag, 1931, Zurich-Leipzig. Illus paper over boards. Book Condition: Good+. 65 black & white photos. 6 pages of text in German & Hebrew. Herausgeber: Dr. Emil Schaeffer. Photo-essay on Lithuanian Jews. Born in Vilna in 1904; died 1995. Vorobeichic trained at the Bauhaus in the 1920's after studying at the Ecole de Photo Cine in Paris. Also known as Moi Ver and Moshe Raviv. He was a founder of the artists colony in Safed. Modernist photographs & montages. Edges chipped; corners bumped; top & bottom of spine frayed.
