Senator Lindsey Graham has sparked considerable controversy with his recent statements advocating for unreserved military support for Israel. "Give Israel the bombs they need to end the war. They can't afford to lose," Graham declared. He even suggested nuking Gaza, "When we were faced with destruction as a nation after Pearl Harbor, fighting the Germans and the Japanese, we decided to end the war by the bombing [of] Hiroshima [and] Nagasaki with nuclear weapons. That was the right decision."

Graham insists on supplying Israel with unrestricted military aid, including the potential use of devastating weaponry, with gross disregard for the profound humanitarian consequences such actions would have on the civilian population of Gaza.

Graham, a staunch supporter of Israel, has repeatedly invoked this analogy while condemning President Joe Biden for even considering the withholding of certain weapons from Israel if it undertakes a military operation in Rafah, a city in southern Gaza where over a million civilians are seeking refuge. Graham's stance not only exacerbates the humanitarian crisis but also undermines efforts towards a diplomatic resolution. His approach is dangerously one-sided, prioritizing deadly military intervention over accountability for Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestine.

Despite an overwhelming call by the American people for the U.S. to stop backing Israel’s genocide campaign in Gaza, U.S. politicians are prioritizing the demands of a foreign entity — Israel — over the interests of the U.S. population. Why? For decades, the Zionist lobby has bought out politicians to pass legislation solidifying U.S. support for Israel. Understanding the Zionist lobby machine is imperative for the liberation of Palestine. This resource page identifies some of the largest players in the Zionist settler-colonial project.
