Dear Dan,
I was hoping to see you at Georgetown when I came to speak there last year. It was sad to miss seeing you but heartwarming to see Lynne and other old friends I had enjoyed working with.
The image you sent does not represent any of the posters I designed. The woman’s figure on the right side, however, has been copied from one of my line drawings that first appeared in the book Lover from Palestine and Other Poems (translated by Abdelwahab Elmessiri). One of the woman’s hands was refigured into a fist.
