to me
Hey Dan,
Sorry for not responding, I've been traveling and just got to Istanbul a few days ago for a summer language program and have been running aroudn settling in, finding a place to live and taking placement tests.. Anyway, I'll try to catch up now: There is a word in this text I actually don't know and neither does google, I wonder if it's a spelling mistake.
The black boxes say "The Center List, Rokach" (Israel Rokach ran for Tel Aviv municipal elections on the United Centrist List party, hence "Center")
The "Center" during the 1932 elections
The "Center" now
The "Center" has **weakened**
No Dizingoff, No Shoshana...
He cries himself to sleep at night
Rokach: Save us!
Elect the Histadrut List!
**I need help here. There's a word/phrase that makes no sense, and that they either mean as "weakened", or "been exposed", or "been corrupted". I guess they mean that Rokach withouth the former mayor Dizingoff has been shown to not know how to run the city. I need a better phrase or word here other than weakened. In addition, I translated the last two lines in the same structure as in the Hebrew but is it clear that it's Rokach who is crying himself to sleep and crying out for help? It needs to be if it isn't.
