Dear Dan,
The line drawings (reproduced in reverse) in the 2 posters you sent have been taken from the very first book of translations of Palestinian poetry that ever appeared in the US. I designed the book, illustrated it with line drawings and brought it out in Washington, DC under the banner of Free Palestine, the first US monthly publication I designed and printed in DC. The illustrated book edited by Abdul Wahab El-Messiri was published in 1970. Its title was A Lover from Palestine and Other Poems. You can still obtain the book on the following:
http://www.amazon.com/Lover-Palestine-other-Poems-Palestinian/dp/B000LC0SAY/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1444306205&sr=1-1&keywords=a+lover+from+palestine+and+other+poems
The translation of the poem ‘The Impossible’ appeared on page 61. Its illustration (centaur) appeared on page 59. As for the poster titled ‘No’ its illustration appeared on page 85 to illustrate the poem titled ‘No’ appearing on page 87. The poem was by Moueen Bessissou. Those who brought out the poster chose instead to replace Bessissou’s poem with a much later poem by Mahmoud Darwish.
Good luck on your posters’ project.
Kamal
