Description:
The 1970 Israel Independence Day Official Poster was designed by Dan Reisinger. Israel’s 22nd Independence Day was dedicated to the Israeli population living in the towns and villages along the borders. During April 1970 and the following months, Israeli cities, towns and villages in the Galilee, the Jordan Valley and the Beit Shean Valley were shelled repeatedly by artillery and “Katyusha” rockets. The poster was dedicated to the children living in those areas. The designer explained that the idea behind the poster was: “I wanted to express the joy of the children waiting for the day they could leave the bomb shelters”.
