Dear Dan,

Here I come with the answers, but first the link to the post: thanks so much for including it however I'm sending it again as we noticed that the final "i" of the name Assadi was missing

now for the answers:

- SEM: the museum initially wanted to co-organise the exhibition with us, however a few months ago they had second thoughts stating that the content was too political (!) and therefore were prepared to let us have the exhibition on their premises but without their involvement! So.....

- artists: yes they are both Palestinian from Dheisheh camp. I'm copypasting their bio as included in the introduction to the publication we prepared to go together with the exhibition:

Finally, the picture symbolizing the exhibition and present on the cover of this publication as well as on the invitations and posters is titled “The Orange Pickers”. It is the work of Ahmed Hmeedat and Yazan Ghareeb. Ahmed Hmeedat, 24 years old, was born in the Dheisheh Refugee Camp in Bethlehem. He started drawing on the camp walls at the early age of 13 and considers himself a self-made artist. He has drawn many murals commemorating Palestinian leaders and activists killed by the Israeli army. He defines the murals »as a sort of remedy for victimised families and stand as historical documents and memorials in the eyes of refugee people.« His murals can also be seen in Germany and Bosnia&Herzegovina. In 2014 he had a solo exhibition at Al Quds University. Ahmed has won a scholarship at the Jersey City Florence Academy of Arts where he will begin his studies in August 2016. As of  2015 he is the art coordinator of the Nakba Museum Project of Memory and Hope in Washington DC. Ahmed holds a BA in Human Rights and International Law from the All Quds Bars Honors College, Jerusalem, and is at present studying law at Syracuse University, New York.Yazan Ghareeb, 29 years old, was also born in the Dheisheh Refugee Camp. Between 2005 and 2010 he attended the High Conservatory of Theatre and Music Arts at the University of Damascus. As an actor he has appeared in theatre productions such as »The Key and The Life« at El Hara Theatre, Bethlehem and in film productions among which »The Diaspora Coloured Death« (Syria) and »36mm of Love« (Syria). He has also directed 3 films: »Question Mark«, »Destiny« and »Um Abdallah and I«.  Yazan has taken part in numerous workshops both in Palestine and Europe related to theatre. His murals can be seen in Dheisheh Refugee Camp, Beit Jala and Ramallah. He has worked with Italian artists in Jenin and Bethlehem on projects related to murals.  At present  Yazan is  theatre manager at the Russian Cultural Centre in Bethlehem. He is the author of numerous murals in Bethlehem and Jerusalem.

The mural The Orange Pickers, 130cmx200cm, is monochromatic in acrylic colours. The mural is part of a series commissioned by the Hotel Dome in Beit Jala, Bethlehem.

- errors in the post: where it says Publisher, it is not the Museum - as explained above:) - but Gibanje za pravice Palestincev BDS Slovenija ( Campaign for the Rights of the Palestinian People BDS Slovenia). By Publisher it is meant who printed it, right?

- posters: this morning we designed a poster in Eng and one in Slovene meant to be printed  size A2. I am attaching them.

- as to Jaffa campaign poster/leaflet (the one you haven't received) the design is not ours, it belongs to Association Belgopalestinienne who allowed us to use it. We only added the Slovene text. I am attaching it

Let me know if all is clear

Really thrilled that we are included in your archive!

Best,

Nada
