Lithographic printing , Which was issued by the JNF ( Jewish National Fund ) - KKL ( Keren Kayemet Le'Israel ) in the late 1940's up to the mid 1950's to commemorate as well as to encourage JEWISH SETTLEMENT in the unsettled areas of ERETZ ISRAEL . The poster is named " BLOSSOMING THE WILDERNESS" ( Hafrachat Hashmama - הפרחת השממה) . It was designed by WIND - STROSKY ( וינד סטרוסקי ) , A talented graphic designer of POSTERS and STAMPS at that period as a cobination or collage of colored STONE LITHOGRAPH together with an off-set fragment of ZIONIST PHOTOS. The LITHOGRAPHIC printing was made by KOFMAN & Co. Both the ARTIST as well as the PRINTER are credited in the POSTER. The sandy landscape as well as the illustrated palm trees indicates for the NEGEV though it is not specifically mentioned in the poster. Size : 20" x 28" ( 50 x 70 cm ). Very thin paper. Excellent PRISTINE condition.
