Dear Dan:
Yes- the rumor is true about a visit- but I am not sure when. I should know more this week about that.

What was the context of my name coming up? (SO Exciting!)

And Yes on your suggestion of lay out of the Oly Rafah Mural (ORSMP) mural key, etc.

Please know that that ORSMP is a project of Break the Silence (BTS)- for which you have some early posters from Miranda Bergman.

In 2000 I resurrected the project and decided to keep the name BTS.

ORSMP is also a project of Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice.

I really like what you say about the Bus Campaign in Seattle and mural image. Somehow we (I) need to find a way to encourage people to use the mural image more.
The thing is that many Seattle orgs are represented in the mural.- Not Mideast Awareness, which I had not heard of before, but the people in the press conference are in other Palestine solidarity orgs that are in the mural....
Ahh... more work to be done!

So - Dan- what else do you do in this life? What is your story?

Feel free to ignore these questions.. just curious.

Till soon

Susan

Companera Susan,

Did I tell you that your name was raised at a Georgetown University event recently? Its true...Penny Mitchell said, among other things that there was talk of you coming east for a visit sometime soon...true?

I plan to join the Mural content key you sent with the list of participants into one jpeg and include it as its own entry at the PPPA site along with your links. You good with that? (This way people can see everything at a glance)

Also, are there any slots left open on the Olympia-Rafah Solidarity Mural?

Please don't feel pressure from me about any of the questions/answers you are going to help me with vis-a-vis the La Pena show or the mural in Ramallah. I know you will get to them when you can and that is plenty generous of you and fine with me. Do them when you can.

Too bad about the Seattle bus campaign being pulled...from my (tactical) perspective I would have recommended that Seattle Mideast Awareness have used the Olympia-Rafah Solidarity Mural as the graphic and to have listed some event/activity/website as the copy. This way a local movement would have been the (legitimating) focus and the inclusion of an event/product would have lifted it out of the "non-commercial" category and left the Zionist right high-and-dry...meaning they could not have simply copied the SMAC ad verbatim (almost)....they would have had to respond with their own creativity and that would have been interesting to see.

The authorities have used a rumor of violence to silence a real public debate.

Its hard to believe it is 2011 and we still cannot have a rational, honest open conversation about Zionism in the US.

Amazing!

Dan
