Hello Dr. Fischbach,
May I write to you with a few questions about this image?
https://www.palestineposterproject.org/poster/from-to
I am interested in its origins...book cover? Poster? Who the artist was?
Thank you,
Dan Walsh/PPPA

Dear Dan:
Thanks for your email. The image comes from a political flyer that was issued by a group calling itself “Arabs and Jews for a Democratic Palestine.” See the attached scan of the full flyer, as well as a good quality PDF I made. While undated, I’m guessing it to be from 1970 or maybe 1971 from the language used (esp. about King Hussein) and from the state of the American Left and its attitudes toward Palestine.
I bought the flyer from the website of Bolerium Books in San Francisco.
Best regards,
Michael

Further to my last email: Look at this page from another source for old posters, etc. – Abebooks.com. Scroll down about half way. There are links to some interesting PFLP and DFLP posters that I’ve never seen: https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?kn=pflp&sts=t&cm_sp=SearchF-_-topnav-_-Results
