Dear Dan,
Yes, there is a printed tiny Arabic word under the picture (the right had corner), actually it is Jusur (ÌÓæÑ) which means “Bridges”. In this case, most probably, it is the name of the arts company which produced the poster; most likely it is in Beirut Lebanon because the word Beirut in Arabic also appears in the poster as the company which has the right of distributing the film worldwide.
Thank you! Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best,
Laura

Dear Mr. Walsh,
This poster was part of the Arab Cinema exhibit here at Sterling Memorial Library. These posters have no specific artist. They are mass produced for commercial purposes to advertise the film which is being shown. The local theater or cinema house produces these and many times there are more than one poster for the same film. Thank you.
Hello Scott,
Thanks for your swift reply.
I agree completely with your answer, however, the poster I am talking about actually has an artist's signature on it.
Here is the jpeg from the YU site...I have cropped the area where the signature is. It is in Arabic and appears to be "Jabber" or "Jaddor"
Would it be possible for you to take a digital shot (not a studio shot, just a hand-held camera) of that name?
By the way, I found the YU poster collections very interesting and well organized. I have created a new Special Collection at the PPPA site for the YU posters that refer to Palestine. I will send you the link as soon as I launch it, within a week I would imagine.
Thank you for your response.
best,
Dan Walsh

Hello, I am a graduate student at Georgetown and I would like to know the name of the graphic artist whose name is listed below the graphic in the above poster. My thesis project has more than 4,000 Palestine posters and I plan to add several from the Yale Archives to my site, with full credits.
thank you,
Dan Walsh
