This is one of the many Jewish National Fund posters from the middle of the 1940's or early 50's. The majestic tree suggests a fitting monument for the 6 million killed in the Shoah - as does the biblical metaphor from Amos (IX, 14-15); And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall be no more pulled up out of their land which I have given them. There are two traces of tape on the bottom edge, repair to the lower left corner, a minor repaired tear on the left edge, and what appears to be a tape stain on the lower left just above the end of the banner. Overall, the poster, which is backed onto linen, is clean and bright height - 20 1/4"; width 14 3/4" Price: $255.00 info@artatthecenter.com
