The Federation of General Zionists - Two Large, Nice Identical Propaganda Posters in Different Languages, with Witty Words against the Socialist Mapai - Designated for New Immigrants - 1951
Two colorful posters, identical in content and design, yet written in two different languages: one in French and one in Ladino.
The posters were published before the elections to the second Knesset, which took place in 1951, and by them the General Zionists hoped to increase their power on the background of the austerity regime imposed by Mapai.
The posters show photographs of transit camps and tents of new immigrants, standing in contrast to the fancy buildings of "Passage", "Sollel Boneh" and the building of "Ha'Va'ad Ha'Poel shel Ha'Histadrut".
Alongside the photograph, the inscription: "the poor dwelling of Kibbutz Galuyot" against "Large palaces for the "Socialists"".
At the end, a call: "Put an end to the rule of hypocrisy. Vote for the General Zionists".
