Discussion in the course of the Palestinian armed struggle is one of the most complex and difficult issues, because of the place this issue has in the history of the Palestinians, and the meanings it bears, and the suffering, sacrifices and heroism it entails. And because that march remained like a closed box, it was forbidden to open it or subject it to criticism and accountability, and the facts of that march remained without records, documents or statistics. ‎

The book raises a problem that despite the passage of 55 years since that experience, it still lacks any foundational or theoretical dimension, so this book is busy focusing on reviewing the military experience, which ruled the contemporary Palestinian national experience, from its various aspects, in a critical manner. Objective and responsible.

Despite the book's emphasis on the legitimacy of resistance in all its forms, and the pride in the spirit of sacrifice and struggle among the people of Palestine, it represents an attempt - albeit belatedly - to reflect on that experience as well, away from whims, desires and slogans, and based on statistics and political fates. ‎

Therefore, the book serves as an invitation to think about the possible, most appropriate, permanent and feasible forms of struggle in the conflict with Israel and its influence on the state and society.

It may be useful to note that the writer presented most of the ideas and conclusions contained in the book; In dozens of articles and studies during the past three decades, however, what distinguishes it here is that it has become a draft and a supporter of reality and experience. ‎

This book is part of the project to criticize the Palestinian national experience, which the writer began working on in his two books: “The Aborted Revolution: A Critical Reading of the Problems of the Palestinian National Experience” and “Fatah: 50 Years: A Reading of the Prospects of a National Movement.”
