it isn't uprooted, it is rooted.

So, a non-literal translation would read:

"The towering [man] rooted in the homeland cannot be made powerless by cutting off his legs"
or ""The towering [man] rooted in the land is powerful despite having his legs cut off"

This is Bassam al-Shak`a whose legs were blown off in 1976 or so by the Jewish terrorist
group that tried to assassinate the elected WB mayors ...
It makes sense when you know the context. And is not quite so creepy.

will try to get a micro of the signature when its light but it is very unclear on the original. No publisher mentioned. They were distributed at Najah Univ. when I was teaching there in 1980/81.
