The above poster depicts an Israeli cartoon character, "Srulik" - an avatar for early secular Zionist values - being punched in the stomach by an enormous fist representing the ultra-right wing settler movement exemplified by the poster's publisher, Regavim. The fist quotes the logo of the Kach movement. The two icons, taken together, succinctly represent the two major political forces in tension in contemporary Israel, i.e., the secular vs. the ultra-religious/ultra-nationalist as well as the openly hostile clash these two sectors of society are engaged in.
