Artist's Statement

This is Uncle Khaled Nabhan. Last November, we saw him bidding farewell to his grandchildren, Reem and Tareq, after they were killed by the Israeli occupation forces. He was in an extraordinary state of peace and acceptance of God’s decree—something we rarely feel, even in our happiest moments.

Today, the occupation forces killed him too, adding him to the countless martyrs, whose number exceeds 44,000, with over 10,000 still missing under the rubble.

May God have mercy on you, Uncle Khaled, and grant you His boundless grace and eternal contentment.
