I IMAGINE it is "drought/famine" but HW gives different terms for the ein - jeem - fa construction (see attached) 2) the dates make no sense. The poster says it is marking the FIFTH anniversary of the ASU but that would be 1967 (The Arab Socialist Union was founded in Egypt in December 1962 by Gamal Abdel Nasser as the country's sole political party. It does not look like J-F-A-F but that is what it has to be. A better translation would be "A verdant memory in the time of drought" -- problem with that is most won't know the word "verdant" , so you could use "green". the other untangling is more challenging. Not sure why 1979 is the 5th year of the ASU ...
