Hello Again Michael,
Have written to my poster homies in the Bay Area asking for their comments and also the Palestine Film Foundation in London about the film.
It is through comments and input such as yours that we are rebuilding Palestine's cultural heritage.
Bravo!

PS: Do you mind if I add a link or affiliation to your name at the PPPA site?

Michael,
This is such a great addition to the PPPA. Your text anchors the poster and opens doors to deeper analysis and that is what the poster/PPPA is all about. Thank you!
Q: Do you have a link for the "Radical Jewish Manifesto"? I googled around and found nothing by that name.
Also, I added an affiliation to your name and will add it to the others if you approve.
I should also tell you that your text moved me to create a new Special Collection: "American Zionism" which should have been done ages ago but the rationale escaped me until your analysis came along. Thank you for that too...there are so many posters already at the site that will fit perfectly into this new SpC.
best,
Dan

Dan:
Glad all of this was of help to you. The “Radical Jewish Manifesto” is a typo; the document actually was called the “Radical Zionist Manifesto.” See below:
“Radical Zionist Manifesto,” in Michael E. Staub, The Jewish 1960s: an American Sourcebook. Brandeis Series on American Jewish History, Culture, and Life (Lebanon, N.H.: University Press of New England, 2004).
I obtained all the information I sent you about posters late last year as part of a massive book manuscript that I’m finishing this week. It’s tentatively entitled “Palestine and the 1960s: Black Power, the New Left, and the Arab-Israeli Conflict in America, 1967-82.” It looks at the rise of the first-ever pro-Palestinian sentiment in the country that emerged from the black and white Lefts in the late 1960s, as well as the various (usually negative) reactions to that new discourse. I actually have a short section on posters that’s part of a chapter on how the conflict was expressed within New Left and countercultural media, including posters. For example, have you ever seen this one? It’s about a Jewish (Israeli) Superman:

It’s been a very interesting project.
Best,
Michael
P.S. sure, you can put my affiliation: Michael R. Fischbach, Professor of History, Randolph-Macon College

Michael,
The above was so easy to create and it will grow rapidly.
I have seen the Jewish Superman but since it has nothing to do with Palestine/Israel/Zionism it is not part of PPPA.
Not sure what your book cover will be but you may use any of the graphics at PPPA if you like.
For me, the current discourse focus on "intersectionality" is ironic since it is promoted as being something new...which it is not. See this poster for example, as evidence for the linking of Palestine to other struggles happening much earlier:
http://www.palestineposterproject.org/poster/the-real-face-of-terror-1
Note: "Palestine" is listed around the border linking it to many other fronts.
Might you agree?
Please send us a notice when your book is published: Since it contains/references Palestine posters it is a relevant addition to PPPA.
best,
Dan
