Dear Dan,
This looks like a most interesting poster. Its rawness is very striking. I never saw it before. Neither was I ever aware that a work of mine was on exhibit at a place called Pitt Galleries. It looks like it was produced somewhere in the UK possibly in London if you can verify that Powell/Van… Street (?) could be found on some street map. A key indicator is Mona Hatoum (who is listed among the participating artists). She went to study art in London in the mid 1970s. What we can tell is that a fairly talented and activist art student(?) (who could have been one of the listed names) did it using negatives of photographing the checkered headdress; more likely simply laying the headdress on a photocopy machine. The white profiles must have been added later with white paint. Naturally, the poster was printed in black most probably for lack of a budget for color printing.
That’s all the detective work I am capable of. If you know more about this work, please let me know. I am most curious.

I don't have you listed. Maybe I have mis-identified one of the posters? Will correct if you guide me.

Thanks Dan,
You are right. None of the posters you sent in the ‘Down with the Occupation’ exhibit looks mine.
I just checked with an old CV. The Tel Aviv exhibition I participated in was titled, ‘Israeli and Palestinian Artists Against the Occupation’ and not simply ‘Down with the Occupation’. It was held at Ahad Ha’am Gallery in 1985. To my knowledge, the exhibit did not include posters but paintings, drawings and prints.
